Iranian American playwright Michael Shayan pays tribute to his mother and her journey from Tehran to "Tehran-geles" in his one-man show, "avaaz." Set during Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, "avaaz" is an experience of joy, celebration and rebirth guided by main character Roya, played by Shayan.
